We are fortunate in the Pacific Northwest that for the most part our hounds are very well stewarded. Carefully bred and carefully placed in their homes.

Most of our breeders take responsibility for the hounds they have brought into the world for the  entire lifetime of the hound as any good and conscientious breeder does.
From time to time however, there may be a hound that needs to be placed into a new home, normally from a hound obtained from other geographic areas, and the IWCPS is there to make sure that hound ends up in the best possible home. If you are interested in having an application for a future rescue placement kept on file, please fill out the application above and return as directed. Do know however that rescues opportunities are few and far between in our region, most thankfully! If you are interested in adopting an adult home rather than a puppy, there are occasions that a good breeder may have an adult hound that they are willing to place into a wonderful home. Do not hesitate to ask breeders if this an option.
